Options for Existing Members Wishing to Change Grade

Upgrading Society membership or joining a Division

Current members of the Society can upgrade their membership or join a Division.

Chartered Psychologists in other areas of Psychology wishing to become Chartered Clinical Psychologists (Lateral Transfer)

The Society operates a process called Lateral Transfer for members who are registered as a Chartered Psychologist with the Society in another area of psychology and wish to transfer in to clinical psychology.

All applications for Lateral Transfer are assessed by the specialist Committee for the Scrutiny of Individual Clinical Qualifications (CSICQ). An application form, and guidance information is available below.

Exemption from holding a Practising Certificate (EPC)

If you are a Chartered Psychologist but do not provide psychological services or only provide services for academic purposes, then you can apply to be exempt from holding a Practising Certificate.
