Working With Organisations Overseas
The British Psychological Society aims to contribute to the development of psychology internationally, both as a science and as a practice.
The Society maintains close links with the two major psychology federations. The International Union of Psychological Science (UIPsyS) is the main
federation of national psychology societies and associations, and the European Federation of Psychologists Associations (EFPA) is the equivalent for Europe.
We have also played a key role in the development of a European
Diploma in Psychology which is a common benchmark for the academic and
professional competence of psychologists in Europe. The implementation of the EuroPsy is now being piloted in 6 countries, including the UK.

focus on a particular area of psychology and brings together individual
psychologists with similar interests, such as:
